A description of the statistics, the concepts, the definitions and the quality descriptions are available on the Etk.fi website. Go to Statistics on Pensioners in Finland. The average pension constitutes an arithmetic average value of gross pensions at the level of the statistical year, in euros per month. Pensioners in their own right does not include special pension for farmers in 1981-1995. SOLITA pensions are included in average pensions from 1991. Different pension benefits in the statistics cannot be summed, because a pension recipient may receive several pension benefits at the same time. As of the statistical year 2020, survivors' pensions (surviving spouse's pension and orphan's pension) that amount to 0 euro are no longer included in the statistics. Symbols used in the table:
0 = Magnitude less than half of unit employed
- = Magnitude nil or category not applicable
.. = Data not available or not published due to small number of cases
